Baiduri Bank and Universiti Brunei Darussalam, UBD, signed a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU to establish a strategic framework for collaboration in research, innovation, and talent development. The ceremony took place at the bank's headquarters. The partnership marked a significant milestone in aligning industry and academia to support Brunei's digital transformation. Both institutions will explore joint research initiatives in Artificial Intelligence or AI applications relevant to financial services and beyond, including data analytics, automation, and digital risk management.

The signing was witnessed by Yang Berhormat Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha, Minister of Transport and Infocommunications. The MoU was signed by Ti Eng Hui, Chief Executive Officer of Baiduri Bank, and Doctor Hazri bin Haji Kifle, Vice Chancellor of UBD. Through the MoU, Baiduri Bank will collaborate with UBD's School of Digital Science to co-develop applied research projects, host academic exchanges, and explore the establishment of a joint laboratory facility at UBD.
